June 2019, Revive Student Ministries webpage will now be included within the Trussville First UMC website.
Look for new changes coming soon!
(R) UMYF is the Youth Ministry of First United Methodist Church Trussville. We are glad you have found your way here and look forward to seeing you in person at our next gathering!
At (R) UMYF we strive to meet students where they are as they discover God in their lives. We want to help all students learn to know the gospel, articulate the gospel, find the cause(s) God is leading them into, and create an atmosphere where students can live out those causes God is bringing them to.
Our goal is to reach everyone for Christ. We aim to connect students as they grow together in faith so they might serve and honor God in all that they do.
Believe that God is a part of their lives and that their life is incredibly valuable.
Belong to a family centered in Christ. By faith, hope, and love we guide each other through every aspect of life.
Serve those in need wherever they are.
Witness to all those we meet along life's journey so they might know Christ as we do.
“Sometimes Christ comes to you in the form of an inflatable t-rex costume.”
Drake Roberts | Director Of youth ministries
The United Methodist Church has an incredible history with youth ministry. You might hear our youth ministry referred to as "UMYF" which is short for "United Methodist Youth Fellowship." This came about in the mid 1900s as The United Methodist Church began to take form. During every event we close our time together with the "UMYF Benediction" which comes from Numbers 6:22-24.
Our Church (FUMC Trussville) began worship in 1848. We moved to our current location in 1938. In 2004 the Youth/Children's building was constructed and that is where Youth Worship and other activities are held to this day.
We hope you will consider joining us here at Revive Student Ministries and become a part of our awesome history.
...and always remember...
May the Lord bless you and keep you;
may the Lord make his face to shine upon you,
and be gracious unto you;
may the Lord lift up his countenance upon you,
and give you peace.
